Given tough competition in every niche, there is a dire need of creating and implementing a unique marketing plan and blogging is no different. Why do you think you need a blog marketing plan? 1. Define your niche

Your blog is a complete product comprising of videos, images, content, navigation, comments and everything that visitor experiences with his visit. Try to be in your visitors’ shoes and see what would you like in a blog? Why do you visit authority website? Got the answer? Try it the same way on your blog. You need to define your niche and create content that helps your visitors.

2. Define your target market

Define your target market. Who are the bloggers? What do they usually like? Are they involved commenting on your blog? Do the bloggers like to read several articles on your blog? You can usually decide this using Google Analytics Dashboard and having a look at your site’s bounce rate. You can also see the page views per visit, which means the number of pages an average visitor views on your blog.

3. Analyze your competition

Have a look around at your competitors. Every one in your niche is a competitor, where a personal blogger or an authority site. However do keep your standards high and follow how authority sites in your niche update themselves and earn revenue off their blogs. Develop a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Weaknesses) plan for your blog so that you can better analyze everything. You should include points such as target market, website design, blog design, navigation type, blogging frequency, etc.

In order to be an authority, you need to respect your visitors’ comments and views in the commenting section on every blog post. If there is a problem that has been addressed by your visitor, make sure you create a blog post that helps the reader in solving that particular problem.
